March 2024 Astrology Overview & Video Horoscopes

Hi Friends,
We have a more sensitive month ahead. There will be lots of dreaming and inspiration to get us motivated. As we begin the month, the radiant Sun is now visiting imaginative Pisces bringing with it a memorable time for its abundance of ideas and creativity. This transit brings about changes for many and serves as a launching pad for a better future ahead. However, work must be carried out with intention and seriousness, as reckless adventures will not succeed.

Overall, March should be a positive month because there are no major cosmic alignments to produce fear during this period. Instead, the month will be characterized by a great buzz of activity, especially the second half of the month. Everyone will be seeking the best position for the most advantageous starting point. However, individuals will have to fight primarily with themselves, overcoming indecisiveness, laziness, and other vices. Ultimately, we will be able to adapt to a new way of life.

In terms of stellar influences this month, Pisces energy rules the roost at least until March 19th afterward the Sun enters fiery Aries. The energetic potential should be very high in the second half of March. The strong Sun will once again come into the forefront, crossing the threshold of the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. Influenced by its energetic rays, working on errors will prove fruitful. For those who stumbled at the beginning of the month, there will be only a week to quickly rectify everything and avoid getting mired in details and unfinished tasks. For others who are untouched by such issues, the end of March will be a good time to start new activities and bring positive changes into their lives.

It is important, however, that the necessary agreements be reached by March 25th because of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse highlighting the sign of Libra. More on this lunar eclipse later.

On March 9th our minds will be supercharged as Mercury enters Aries. When Mercury is in Aries, we are less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations, and more concerned with reaching a decision…quickly! Our thoughts and ideas are pioneering, and we tend to speak more spontaneously and directly with the planet of communication in bold and assertive Aries. It’s a time of quick, possibly impatient or hurried, decisions, mental competitiveness, and swiftness, perhaps defensive or combative responses. Our communications are direct, straightforward, honest, and uncomplicated–perhaps insensitive or blunt.

The next day, the New Moon will highlight the compassionate sign of Pisces. During a New Moon in Pisces, it’s a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Fish. These include taking a leap of faith, accepting imperfections in ourselves and in others as a different kind of “perfection,” starting a project that requires imagination and visualization skills, consciously putting time aside for peaceful and rejuvenating activities, and sharing a dream with another.

The major bodies are all direct during this lunation, contributing to a feeling of moving forward. This New Moon is moving away from Saturn and heading toward Neptune, suggesting a sense that we have our responsibilities in mind, but that we’re also picking up steam in the faith or inspiration. Uranus will be favorably aligned to this lunation making it even more of a visionary time for projects.

On March 11th Venus enters Pisces as well, continuing to fuel our imaginations with regards to romance and partnership potential. With the goddess of love in Pisces, our love is all-embracing, we can forgive and understand, we are seducible and seductive, and we show compassion to our partners.

Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach, as there is a longing for something difficult to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deceived because we want to believe, as well as evasiveness. We should watch for falling in love with an idealized image of something or someone.

Venus is exalted in Pisces and does well in the sign. It’s devoted, compassionate, exceptionally giving, and capable of sacrifice. We might rely heavily on our intuition with our finances and love life during this cycle. We gravitate to–and appreciate–unusual, tossed aside, poetic, artistic objects, situations, and people. We seek activities that move, inspire, or touch us in some mystical way.

Our motivation goes way up on March 19th when the Sun enters fiery Aries. When the Sun transits this pioneering sign we become more enthusiastic and spontaneous. We are motivated by the desire to conquer. We are more impulsive and have the urge to initiate. Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly–there is little in the way of shame with Aries. It is brave groundbreaking, and somewhat innocent. We are direct and rather uncomplicated in our needs, but we can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan ahead. This time also marks the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. A period of fresh starts, new beginnings, and trying something new.

Mighty Mars enters the watery realm of Pisces on March 22nd. Mars is the planet of action and assertion, and Pisces is a passive sign that rarely directly asserts itself. So, the placement of Mars in Pisces is an unusual combination. Sometimes prone to feelings of guilt about their anger, and difficulties with asserting themselves, Mars in Pisces energy likes to “go with the flow”. This is certainly not a very active position for Mars, and during this transit, we will often let life “happen” instead of trying to control our life direction.

With this transit, our desires are changeable and moody, and it’s hard to know where we stand on any particular issue. Alternatively, Mars in Pisces will take a stand on issues that are Piscean, making compassion and love a mission. Energy levels fluctuate a lot, coming in bursts of activity followed by inertia. Because it can be difficult to align this ebbing and flowing of energy in the day-to-day world, finding emotional stability can be tough. The best way to utilize this energy is a creative outlet that allows you to express your desires of the moment, freely and imaginatively.

All of our relationship takes center stage on March 25th when a powerful Full Moon Lunar Eclipse highlights the partnership sign of Libra. It’s the third eclipse in a set of six occurring along the Aries-Libra axis from April 20th, 2023, to March 29, 2025. The first one was a Total Solar Eclipse in late Aries. While we’ve been focusing on building our independence and working on assertiveness since April 2023, this March eclipse in Libra prompts us to consider healthy relating and how it affects the process.

This eclipse serves as a prompt, nudge, or push to make improvements concerning every important relationship we have. It’s a time to resolve matters, strike a balance, take a lesson, and move on. The contrast between fiery, direct, confrontational Aries and logical, tactful, balance-oriented Libra comes in full bloom.

The energy of the Libra Moon is the awareness of the need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them — compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Sun, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.

This lunation is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of a personal nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the coming months, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, it’s difficult to sit on our feelings. We need to express them.

This eclipse is about awakening to the need to enjoy and appreciate our partners or significant others in our lives and to connect with our desire for companionship. This is a rewarding Full Moon eclipse, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. However, it can take some time before we get the whole picture.

Like most Eclipses, emotions, feelings, and revelations in the weeks following this eclipse are pivotal–they lead to resolutions. A crisis of sorts (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the eclipse occurs in our natal charts.

Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened at this time. Our discovery is passionately charged and dramatic–everything feels big and larger than life. Epiphanies are likely as we become acutely aware of our lack. This understanding can propel us into affirmative action, although there can be some initial level of chaos. We cannot expect tranquility to simply manifest effortlessly; rather, we must actively work towards it.
